Placing an order

I can't find the book I'm looking for. What should I do?

Please contact sales@uqp.com.au and we can assist you! Please also note that we only sell books published by the University of Queensland Press. For all other titles, please contact your local book seller.

I need recommendations for a book. Can you help?

Absolutely! Please contact sales@uqp.com.au and we will happily curate a list of recommendations for you.

Can I get signed copies?

We have limited availability of signed copies, and will advertise these on our website when we do. If signed copies are mentioned on a book's information page, please leave a note at checkout requesting a signed copy.

How do I know my order has been successfully placed?

You will receive an order confirmation email on completion of payment. This will include a link to view and download your order receipt.

Do you have a physical outlet?

There is a dedicated UQP bookshop at The University of Queensland St Lucia campus. It is located on the ground floor of the Biological Sciences Building, 94 Slip Rd. All UQ students and staff are eligible to receive a 10% discount at this store.

Do you have wholesale accounts?

Yes! If you are a bookshop with a registered ABN, you can sign up to become a UQP Bookseller here: https://www.uqp.com.au/account/bookseller-signup. Once registered, our sales team will be in contact with more information.

Alternatively, if you are a bookseller and have an account with United Book Distributors, we recommend purchasing our books via them. Please contact our sales team at sales@uqp.com.au if you have any questions.

Delivery and shipping

How can I get free shipping?

All orders over $120 qualify for free shipping. This discount will be automatically applied at checkout.

When will my order be shipped?

Orders in stock will be shipped within 2–3 business days. If part of your order is not in stock, dispatch may take up to 7–10 business days.

Please note the dispatch times of your order in your cart. Dispatch times can also be found in your order confirmation email.

Pre-orders will be shipped on their release date indicated in your order confirmation email. See "Pre-orders" below for more information.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

From dispatch, the expected delivery time is 4–8 business days for Queensland addresses and 5–10 business days for Australian interstate addresses.

New Zealand delivery times vary depending on region, please refer to the Australia Post website for a delivery guide: https://auspost.com.au/sending/send-overseas/international-delivery-times.

If it has been longer than this time estimate, please contact us at sales@uqp.com.au and we will investigate directly.

I need my books in a hurry. Do you have an express option?

We will always try our best to get your books in a hurry! Please contact sales@uqp.com.au and we can assist you further.

What if my order doesn't arrive/ arrives damaged?

Oh no! We are sorry to hear that. Please contact sales@uqp.com.au so that we can assist you further.

Do you ship to rural and remote areas?

Yes, we do! Please ensure that you provide a phone number at checkout in case the delivery driver needs to contact you.

Do you ship to New Zealand?

Yes! All New Zealand orders are shipped via express courier with Australia Post.

Do you ship internationally (outside of AU/NZ)?

As of 1 January 2025, we will no longer be shipping books internationally via the UQP website. This decision is in response to rising costs of postage and distribution, which have made it increasingly unsustainable for us to maintain this service.

We remain committed to making our books accessible globally via local publishers, distributors and retailers where possible.

Do you ship large orders?

We do. Please contact sales@uqp.com.au. Processing of orders is ultimately at the discretion of UQP and any large orders might attract extra shipping costs.

Pre-orders

When will my pre-order be shipped?

Your pre-order will be shipped on the book's release date. You can find this date on the book's information page on our website and in your order confirmation email.

My address have changed since I placed my pre-order. How do I update my details?

Please email us at sales@uqp.com.au with your name, order number and new address and we will update your order details.

I have a mix of unreleased and current books in my order. Will they be shipped separately?

Yes, all released books in your order will be dispatched according to the estimated time given on the website and in your order confirmation email. Pre-ordered books will be shipped separately on their release date.

If you don't mind waiting and would prefer your order be shipped together, please mention this in a delivery note at checkout.

I need to cancel my pre-order. How do I do this?

Please email us at sales@uqp.com.au with your name and order number and we can cancel your order and process a refund for you.
