The Surf Coast’s love of story takes centre stage on Saturday 27 June 2026, with the first-ever Surf Coast Writers Festival in Torquay. This full-day event will bring together writers, poets, and creatives to celebrate the power of words in all their forms.

With a program of author talks and panel discussions, the festival offers a day of inspiration for passionate readers and emerging and established writers. We are connecting our community through an event that showcases the diverse voices of the Surf Coast and beyond, while fostering space for connection, inspiration, and creativity.
