Queerstories – 10th birthday party

After 10 glorious years, and more than 500 incredible LGBTQI+ storytellers, Maeve Marsden hosts a birthday party to end all birthday parties – except it’s mostly just a very good Queerstories from six of the best storytellers Maeve has had the good fortune to work with with over the past decade.

Raise a glass to all the joy, trauma, desire, humour, madness, community and connection that’s been spilled on that stage, then get on your knees at the altar of queer church.

Hosted by Maeve Marsden with Felicia Foxx, Vic Zerbst, Brendan Maclean, David Abello, Nancy Denis, Liz Duck-Chong and Omar Sakr.

About Queerstories

There’s more to being queer than coming out and getting married. Queerstories celebrates the culture and creativity of the LGBTQI+ community, one true story at a time. Vulnerable and fierce, hilarious and heartbreaking, Queerstories features both professional storytellers and emerging talent, each guest sharing the story they want to tell, but are never asked to; unexpected tales of pride, prejudice, resilience and resistance.

Queerstories is curated, produced and hosted by independent artist, writer and theatremaker Maeve Marsden. Find out more about Maeve’s work at maevemarsden.com

This is an Auslan Interpreted performance.
