Honi Soit 2025 Student Journalism Conference

The Student Journalism Conference will be held at the University of Sydney from 15-18 August 2025. It will feature a star-studded cast of speakers, a phenomenal program of events, and the greatest gathering of Australian student media ever seen.

There will be interviews, panels and workshops from every corner of the Australian media and creative industries, as well as a social event every night of the conference.

All events are free to attend, and there will be catering provided at lunchtime and at our evening social events. Pick up a wristband at our morning event to receive free lunch afterwards.

Tickets are available here. Two events will be announced every week. Registration is free, but essential; space is limited and you will only be able to enter if you have registered.

The conference is not just for students or for journalists, but is open to all members of the public. It will be live streamed and accessible to view online.

The conference is organised and hosted by Honi Soit. The conference is directed by Imogen Sabey, with assistant director Ellie Robertson.
