GINSIGHTS AUTHOR EVENT: Siang Lu
Big River Distilling Co, Paperchain Bookstore, and MARION will host a special edition of Ginsights with guest author Siang Lu, in conversation with Beejay Silcox.
Siang Lu is the author of Ghost Cities and The Whitewash,and the co-creator of The Beige Index. The Whitewash won the ABIA Audiobook of the Year in 2023 for its audio adaptation, which starred a large and diverse cast of fourteen actors. It also won the Glendower Award for an emerging writer at the Queensland Literary Awards and was shortlisted for a NSW Premier’s Literary Award.
Lu’s latest novel, Ghost Cities, has been described as “as beautiful as it is honest as it is funny as it is silly, absurd and satirical” by Tara June Winch. We cannot wait to hear Silcox in conversation with Lu on his brilliant and fascinating work.
There will be a signature cocktail inspired by Ghost Cities, with Big River Mandarin Gin, featuring mandarin zest and Chinese five spice.
