Biography
George Haddad is an award-winning writer and artist practising on Gadigal land whose work explores masculinities and the limitations of language in communicating truths. In 2023 he was named a SMH Best Young Novelist for his debut novel, Losing Face, which was also longlisted for the 2023 Miles Franklin Literary Award. His novella, Populate and Perish, was the winner of the 2016 Viva La Novella competition and his short story Kátharsis was awarded the 2018 Neilma Sidney Prize. George is currently a lecturer and researcher in the Writing and Society Research Centre at Western Sydney University.
