Biography
Dr Amy Thunig is a Gomeroi person who parents and partners on beautiful Awabakal Country. A Research Fellow within Jumbunna at the University of Technology Sydney, Amy's area of expertise is formal education systems and structures within so-called Australia. Amy's first book 'Tell Me Again: A Memoir' was recently released via UQP and has since been shortlisted in the 2023 Victorian Premier's Literature Awards, and the 2023 Australian Book Industry Awards. A Director at Story Factory in Redfern, Amy contributes on various committees and councils including the AECG, has delivered a TEDx talk, was a co-curator of the 2023 All About Women Festival which is hosted annually at the Sydney Opera House, and is a media commentator and panellist.
