Larissa Behrendt in conversation at the Rose Scott Women Writers' Festival

In Bila Yarrudhanggalangdhuray, Anita Heiss tells a story never before told in fact or fiction and in doing so rewrites the stories and the history of Australia. Larissa Behrendt tells the story of mother and daughter, Della and Jasmine on a literary tour of England, and in doing so rewrites the relationship of the English ‘classics’ and indigenous culture and storytelling, as well enabling her characters to revisit the story of their own lives and their relationship in After Story. They are in conversation with historical novelist Meg Keneally.

This event is online via Zoom. Individual sessions at the Rose Scott Women Writers' Festival are $10 for members and $15 for guests. For offers on multiple sessions, visit their website. Registrations are essential.
