Toni Risson

Toni Risson was born in Beenleigh. As the eldest of four children, and now also a mother of four, she has been the chief architect of many family cubbies. After graduating from Queensland College of Art and then Kelvin Grove Teachers College, she spent a decade teaching Art and English in secondary schools. Toni continues to paint, but also enjoys mosaic, papier mache, and other media. She became interested in writing fiction during a Contemporary Studies Degree at UQ, Ipswich, where she was a foundation year student.
